The Impact of Emotions and Stress on Your Biochemistry

All emotions create different forms of biochemistry in the human body:

  • Negative emotions will lead to illness.
  • Positive emotions will lead to recovery and healing.

Here are 7 simple rules that help to stay in a positive emotional state to be as much as possible in recovery and healing mode.

  • Work to live, don’t live to work. People known to be workaholics are much more at risk of dying from a heart attack than those who keep their work in perspective. There is much more to life than earning money.
  • If you can’t say positive words, say nothing at all! Criticizing the people around you and saying negative things about them will alter your own biochemistry and damage your own health.
  • Focus on the positive aspects of your life, on what you want to achieve, on your dreams, on the quality people around you, and on your own qualities. The biochemistry of your body will then be propelled.
  • Laughing can be an incredible and powerful way to address various health issues. Try to create situations in your life that will make you laugh. Avoid situations that make you feel miserable or sad. Seek out companions who make you feel good and joyful. Life is too short to spend it in bad company. If it’s your own company that delights you the most, then make time to be alone with yourself and enjoy it.
  • Unexpressed resentments and emotions will destroy you from within. It is therefore essential that you express your emotions.
  • Be honest with yourself and others. If your conscience is not clear or free, your biochemistry will be in self-destruct mode and this could suddenly manifest as illness.
  • Every day, make sure to engage in an activity you love deeply. Do it solely for yourself. This demonstrates a form of self-love and self-respect that will promote positive biochemistry within you.
